Help with All-State/District Honor Band Auditions
dbloodworth, Thursday 30 October 2008 - 09:32:02 //

Audition materials have been distributed and are available for All-State auditions for all Benjamin Russell and ACMS band members. Any student needing audition materials simply needs to ask one of the directors for the materials.

Help on the auditions is available two ways.
1. Directors are available after school (by appointment) to work on all audition materials.
2. Podcasts are available at The University of South Alabama's music department website.

If the demand for help gets beyond our means, we will look into hiring some music students from Auburn to assist in teaching lessons. That is a problem we certainly hope to have!

We have very talented students and would love to see BRHS and ACMS earn a bigger piece of the All-State pie. Earning a position in the Alabama All-State band is an excellent credential for resumes as well as a necessity for those students wanting to earn music scholarship in college. All-State band is the key to university level recognition for instrumentalists. It is a great musical experience. Students become much better players simply by working on the audition.

If you have questions, feel free to contact Mr. Bloodworth, Mr. Gresko, or Ms. Parker.
